Islam's war with Buddhism

There are those that will tell you that we, the West, are responsible for Islamic terrorism and violence. That if we did not have the temerity to take on the savage maniacal despot threatening us from Iraq, it would all be okay. That we should never have responded to 9/11. That it is our support of Israel that causes this hostility, that Islam is a religion of peace.

Well if there is such thing as a religion of peace in this world, it would definitely not be the one that brought us Hamas, Hezbollah, Fatah, Black September, Amal, the Al Asqa Martyrs Brigade, Saddam, Khomeini, Nasser and.....Mohammed himself.

Reading the bible, you'd probably also have some trouble applying the term "religion of peace" to Judaism. Of course if todays Israelites were "peaceful", they would be toast by now, so perhaps that's a harsh judgment.

And as much as I love and respect Christians, there are the small matters of the crusades and the inquisition blotting their religion's copybook.

Probably the only real candidate for "religion of peace" would be Buddhism.

But hell - that doesn't stop the Islamists trying to wipe them out. It seems that every month there's another gruesome news story about some poor Thai or Indonesian Buddhist that finds himself decapitated by the peaceful followers of Mohammed.

Front Page magazine has an article called "Islam's War on Buddhism"

Written by a Buddhist, it explains that this is not a new phenomena. So much for Islamoviolence being a response to the eeevil West.
