Keep hitting Iran until they release the British sailors

BBC NEWS: Iran warns sailors may be charged

This is Iran's version of their puppet Hezbollah's "Operation Truthful Promise".

As I'm sure you remember, the Hezbos planned in advance to snatch Israeli soldiers.

Nothing Hezbollah does is divorced from Iran. "Operation Truthful Promise" must have been planned and authorised by Iran. Well now the puppet masters have executed their own version.

"Operation Truthful Promise" backfired on Hezbollah. They thought the capture of Israeli troops could be used as bargaining. They expected a cowed "diplomatic" response and instead were nearly decimated by an unexpected war.

Iran expects a cowed diplomatic response from Blair. They want to use the captured British sailors to extract UN concessions.

Western governments often have a policy of never making concessions to terrorists. Ransom demands aren't met because, it is thought, this only encourages more hostage taking. Let's see if Blair has the stones to stand Iran down on this.

He should start taking aggressive military stances that leave Tehran in no doubt that unless the sailors are released now, a huge volley of missiles will be released at every Iranian military and government facility - with more targets taken out every day until the sailors are released.

This is the only way to deal with a mentality like Iran's. "Diplomacy" is taken as a sign of weakness and fear.
